Kevin was born in Newport Rhode Island and graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1995. Also, a Graduate of Clemson University and founder of OcularStorm Productions LLC, Kevin A McCarthy is a 38 year old Rhode Island filmmaker with a passion for genre cinema. Kevin and his brother Michael (Lead/Co-writer/Producer) just finished their first feature, FURY: The Tales of Ronan Pierce. It is a 91 minute action/horror meant to feel as it was brought to life from a dark graphic novel.
Much of FURY was filmed in the mills of Fall River in 2013, using many super talented local actors and crew (with a ton of help from The Rhode Island Film Collaborative). The rest of FURY was shot in Tampa Florida in 2012. To this point, he first film from "The Brothers McCarthy" has been selected to 8 international festivals, and has secured distribution in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Germany, USA & Canada.
